Summary :
- Give precise information about your money pot
- Set an achievable fundraising goal (optional)
- First share your money pot with your close circle
- Ask your loved ones to talk about it around them
- Share your money pot on your social networks
I- Give precise information about your money pot
A good description is a clear and transparent description! Always ask yourself if, by visiting your money pot page, you can quickly find the answer to these 3 questions:
1️⃣ What is the objective of the money pot?
2️⃣ What will the donations collected be used for?
3️⃣ Who is the beneficiary of this money pot?
For example , if you are launching a money pot to support an animal shelter, detail precisely what the donations will be used for: care, food or the cost of rescue for example.
| 💡 Good to know: Setting an end date for your fundraiser has a positive impact on participants by encouraging them to donate more quickly (see The end date of my money pot). |
II- Set an achievable fundraising goal (optional)
Aiming for the moon doesn't scare you! But if you are launching a money pot, setting a realistic and achievable fundraising goal will be useful for you to:
- Encourage your participants to help you reach this amount;
- Focus all your efforts on an achievable goal;
- Avoid any frustration linked to a goal that is too high and not achieved.
| 💡 Take a look at Our fees to help you determine your final objective (consult Set a target amount to be raised). |
Contrary to what one might think, sharing your money pot on social networks a few moments after its creation is not necessarily the best way to go.
Indeed, the people who discover your money pot will feel:
- Doubt about a collection without participants;
- The fear of being judged on the amount of this 1st donation.
This is why we recommend first asking your loved ones to collect your first donations and reassure the people who could support you!
Whether it's a friend, a family member, your spouse or even a work colleague, your close circle is your first support!
IV- Ask your loved ones to talk about it around them
Your loved ones are the best ambassadors of your money pot!
At the start of your collection, word of mouth will be a great help in making your project known. Think of three friends or family members who are active on social networks and who could relay your money pot.
Be sure to explain to them the purpose of your project and the use of the funds so that they can convince other people to participate in your money pot.
V- Share your money pot on your social networks
Once your money pot has been shared with your private circle and your first donations have been collected, share it on your social networks.
