We carry out verifications to ensure your participants that the funds in your money pot are used in accordance with the purpose of the fundraiser and that they are paid to the correct person. As part of these verifications, we may request additional documents.
🤔 What does this mean for you?
🪪 To ensure that contributions always end up in the right hands, we need to verify the identity of the organiser of the money pot. That is why we ask you to add your identity document in order to spend your money pot (more information here).
📄 At the same time, depending on the project, we may also need to verify the identity of the beneficiary and ask you for additional supporting documents (e.g. quotes, invoices) to ensure that the money collected is used in accordance with the purpose announced to the participants.
What happens if you do not provide the documents?
If the organiser of the money pot refuses or is unable to provide supporting documents after our request, the expenditure cannot be made and Leetchi will have to cancel the money pot. All participants will then be reimbursed the amount of their contributions.
