The end date of my money pot

❔ Why do money pots have an end date?

• So your contributors can know how much time they have left to contribute to your money pot.

• So that you can organise yourself as best you can to manage your project.

💡 What you need to know: 

• You do not have to specify an end date if you want to keep this flexible and decide later.

• The end date of a money pot is given as an indication. This means that the money pot will remain open even if the end date has passed (more information here).

• You will have the option, at any time, to change your end date (either before or after the previously set date).

️ ⌛️  How do I change the end date of my money pot? 

You can change the date whenever you want:

When your money pot has just been created :

1️⃣ Click at the bottom of the page on Access my money pot;

2️⃣ There you are on the public page of your money pot, click on Go to my money-pot dashboard in the black banner at the top of the page;

Your money pot has already been created :

1️⃣ Log in to your Leetchi account and click on your money pot;

2️⃣ You then arrive on your money pot dashboard;

Once you are on the dashboard of your money pot : 

1️⃣ Click on Go to settings on the left;

2️⃣ Go to the Set a deadline section, at the bottom page. Here you can choose if you want to enable this option, and if so, what the deadline will be. Don't forget to Save.

🔒 Can I close my money pot before the deadline? 

Definitely! You can simply click on Close money pot in your money pot dashboard.

💸 Can I spend my money pot before the deadline?

You're free to do so! This means you can easily spend your money pot (or part of it) at any time, even before the end date! You will even be able to continue to receive contributions, as the spending does not close automatically your money pot.
