Personalise my money pot

Personalisation is an important stage: it allows you to say more about yourself and your project - specifying how the funds will be used and telling your story - in order to reassure future contributors and make them want to support your money pot.

To support a cause, a loved one or to celebrate an event (e.g. a birthday), you can personalise your money pot at any time, during its creation or afterwards: you're in control of your money pot.
 

I. Personalising my money pot when I create it 

1️⃣ Choose the name of your money pot:

This step takes place during the creation of your money pot and is essential, because it must motivate your contributors to find out more about your project. Choose a clear name, as attractive as possible, simple and effective!

💡 Please note: the name must be 80 characters maximum.

2️⃣ Illustrate your money pot:

You want your money pot to be attractive and we understand you! Because an image is sometimes stronger than words, choose the most beautiful photo to illustrate your money pot!

Several options are available to you:

● An image will automatically be displayed by default, which will depend on the type of money pot you have chosen.

● We recommend that you upload an image yourself that perfectly illustrates your project, whether it is a Projects and causes or Celebrations and sharing money pot.

3️⃣ Go into detail:

🤝 For a Projects and causes money pot

It is important that your project is understood by as many people as possible, your page being a collection space, but also a showcase! This is why, in addition to the image, we advise you to add text which may include:

● Describe the use of funds raised
● Raise awareness among your future donors
● Reassure participants

🎉 For a Celebrations and sharing money pot

Here too, adding a text explaining your project will allow your participants to:

● Get involved in the event
● Know what the funds will be used for: list of planned gifts, travel plans, little friendly or humorous message about the recipient... 

❔ How to add a description (regardless of the type of money pot)?

1️⃣ On the Personalise my money pot page, you will find a dedicated space, below the image, to Add a description;

2️⃣ You can write directly in the box provided for this purpose;

3️⃣ Then, click on Create your money pot when your description is ready.

II. Personalising my money pot after its creation

1️⃣ Click on the icon at the top right and choose My money pots;

2️⃣ Choose the money pot you want to personalise; 

3️⃣ You are now on your money pot dashboard, you can click on Personalise my money pot on the left;

4️⃣ You can write or modify your description in the Add a description case. Don't forget to Save.

💡 To make your description more dynamic, don’t hesitate to:

📸 Put photos in the text
📑 Put important elements in bold, italics, underline them
🔗 Add links to pages related to your project
